FILM SUBMISSION JUDGE

Total Hours: 120 hours (3 Academic Credits)
Film Submission Judges are the backbone of Blackbird and they work to curate the official selections from a pool of over 2000 film submissions. Submission judges need to have a sharp eye for production quality, character development, and overarching story themes. Submission judges must also be strong writers with a self-motivated personality. Aside from a weekly group meeting, 90% of this position is completed independently using Youtube and Vimeo. Work schedules are extremely flexible to fit your schedule.
Submission Judge Responsibilities:

Watch and Review Weekly Film Assignments

Provide Constructive Critique

Help to Curate Blackbird's Festival Program
Position Requirements:

Must attend weekly meeting on campus (DAY & TIME TBA)

Must be able to meet deadlines

Must be at least 18 years old

Must have access to a strong internet connection
Preferred Qualifications:

Have Taken Film Production / Analysis Classes

Major / Minor in Professional Writing or English

Highly Motivated Personality / Strong Self-Starter
