Drive-in Details   &  Rules

WHERE TO GO?

There are TWO drive-in theater screens (A and B). Please be sure to check which screen the films you want to see our playing on first.

SCREEN A is located at 2000 NY-392, Cortland, NY 13045 (entrance near TRAX Pub & Grill).

SCREEN B is located at 1856 NY-392, Cortland, NY 13045 (in the Adventure Center Parking Lot) 

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Our Drive-In Events are FREE for all to attend! However, there are limited parking spots available at both Screen A and Screen B and so guests are encouraged to arrive early to guarantee a parking spot. WHERE TO STAY?

If you're visiting from out of town or just looking to treat yourself? The Greek Peak Mountain Resort is also a Luxury Hotel and offers many affordable lodging option for guests! Turn your festival weekend into an adventure and enjoy Greek Peak's many amenities, such as an indoor waterpark with heated pools, a mountain roller coaster, outdoor biking trails and even a ropes/zipline adventure course! Guests can even enjoy a 20% discount on their visit if you call and mention Blackbird!

HOW DOES THIS WORK?

Our Drive-In Movie events will function much like an old time Drive-in Movie Theater. Attendees will be able to park their car in designated spots in front of our large outdoor movie screens, tune their radio to our specific FM radio station and enjoy! Guests are welcome to back their cars into the parking spot, pop the trunk and watch or simply sit comfortably in the front seat. However, it's important to remember that your engines MUST BE TURNED OFF once parked as to avoid polluting the air so be sure to pack warm blankets in case it's cold. Guests are allowed to simply set up chairs (no car) but please know you will need a radio in order to hear the films. Click the View Checklist button below to make sure you have everything you need!

WHAT TYPE OF FILMS CAN I SEE?

From Thursday, June 17th to Sunday, June 20th, the Blackbird Film + Arts Festival will be screening over 90 short films as well as three independently produced features from around the world. Each night of the festival, drive-in attendees are able to choose from two film screening line ups (see details above). Simply choose what you want to watch, park your car (or chair) and enjoy!

WHAT IF I GET HUNGRY?

While guests are welcome to bring snack and drink items from home, we kindly ask that attendees support our event sponsor, Greek Peak during your visit by purchasing snacks from the concession stand or by ordering directly from TRAX Pub & Grill for "car-side" delivery! Please know, guests may NOT bring their own alcoholic beverages. Beer and Wine may be purchased from TRAX 2 GO or at the concession stand.

OUTDOOR CINEMA RULES

 

As with all things, there are rules that must be followed to ensure everyone has a fun and safe evening:

 

  • Guests MUST securely wear a face mask whenever leaving the vicinity of their own vehicle and/or parking spot to prevent the spread of COVID19.

  • All car engines MUST be turned off once a vehicle is parked. Please know that the radio will run on auxiliary power.

  • Guests are NOT allowed to bring their own alcoholic beverages into the theater. Beer and wine may be purchased at the concession stand or from the TRAX 2 GO menu.

  • Guests are asked to refrain from flashing their lights and/or honking their horn during film screenings.

  • Guests are are welcome to sit on or around their vehicle but we ask that guests use caution and be respectful of the other guests viewing areas.
